About the Event

ICMME 2021 is a unique event where mathematicians and mathematics educators in Sri Lanka and around the world meet to discuss their research experience, share their knowledge, and collaborate.
Jointly organized by the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya, together with the Ministry of Education, and the National Institute of Education, Sri Lanka, the ICMME 2021 will commence on the 8th of October, 2021.

About ICMME

The International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education is a conference jointly organized by the Postgraduate Institute of Science, the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka, and the National Institute of Education.
The first ICMME installment was done in 2019, and it was a huge success. We received more than 80 abstracts, out of which 68 were presented at the conference. The event was graced by two distinguished keynote speakers, Prof. Kathy Horadam of RMIT, and Prof. Rhonda Craven of IPPE.

Technical Sessions

ICMME 2021 is a hybrid event. This means some presentations will be done in person at the PGIS, and some presentations will be done online. By organizing a hybrid conference, we are encouraging more participants to the event.
We let the participants decide what mode they want to present, but encourage local participants to present in-person. The whole event will be cast live online, and anyone can join for free of charge at the time of the conference. The fees are for participants who wish to publish in the proceedings.
